Bub City Karaoke Contest Official Rules
Open to legal US residents 21 years of age or older. The promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law, and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner is responsible for any taxes, customs, duties and the like amounts connected with the prize. Employees of Clark Hubbard LLC (“Sponsor”), Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc., and affiliates of each of the foregoing, and each of their respective agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate families and household members of each are not eligible for prizes.
No Purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve chances of winning. Please note, this promotion is no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Your entry to this contest constitutes a full and complete release of Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability related to this contest. You are providing your information to Sponsor and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. and not to Facebook or Instagram.
Participation constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules, agreement that the decisions of the judges are final, and permission to use participants’ and winner’s name and likeness (photo or video) for advertising or publicity purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known without additional notice or compensation. Void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion. The winner will receive Two (2) 5 Day General Admission wristbands (entry tickets) to the 2026 Windy City Smokeout. The approximate retail value of the prize is $662.88 ($299.95 per ticket, $31.49 in taxes per ticket). Prize redeemable for entry only to Windy City Smokeout music and bbq festival July 8-12, 2026 taking place at the parking lot adjacent to United Center 1901 W. Madison Street Chicago, IL. How to participate: Entrants must complete the sign up form, available starting January 15, 2026, at https://www.bub-city.com/chicago/events/ (“Promotion Site”). Links will also be found starting January 15, 2026 at https://www.instragram.com/bubcity/ and https://www.instragram.com/windycitysmokeout/ . Contestants are entered in the order received. Contestants must provide all information requested (including song choice from the list provided) on the form for a chance to participate. There is a 15 person limit to participate and will be chosen in the order the completed form is received in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Filling out this form does not guarantee your spot in the competition. The first 15 eligible contestants to fill out this form will be entered. Your participation will be confirmed by the Bub City team via email within 2 business days. You must respond to Bub City’s confirmation email to confirm your spot within 1 business day. If we do not hear back from you, you will be disqualified. If the maximum amount of contestants is reached, you will be added to a waitlist. If a spot opens up, you will be notified via phone call by 4 PM Tuesday, February 3rd. Your response is required in order to guarantee entry. Contestants will be contacted by email 24 hours prior to the contest to confirm contest day details. Changes are not permitted. The order of performance will be randomly selected the day of the contest. Contestants must arrive by 9:30 PM CST February 4, 2026 to participate. Contest will take place February 4, 2026 at Bub City 435 N. Clark Street Chicago, IL. If a contestant is not present when they are called to perform, they will be disqualified and an alternate may be selected in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Winner is determined by the number of votes cast by the audience. Should two or more contestants receive the same number of votes, the winner will be selected by Sponsor in their sole discretion. Prize will be given to the named winner. Wristbands will be either mailed to the winner’s home address or available for pick up at either Bub City or on site at the Will Call window as determined by Sponsor.
No prize substitutions allowed. Prizes are non-transferable. No prize includes alcoholic beverages. Participants and Winner agree to fully release Sponsor, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, and/or misuse of any prize or participation in this promotion or in prize-related activities and agree to sign documentation relating to the foregoing, if requested by Sponsor. Participants acknowledge that neither the Sponsor nor its agents have made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, hometown and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes, in any and all media now or hereafter known, without additional notice or compensation. Participants, by participating agree to abide by all Sponsor decisions regarding contest participation and the winner selection process. By participating and/or accepting the prize, participants and winners agree to release Clark Hubbard LLC and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc., and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, and/or misuse of any prize or participation in this promotion or in prize related activities. Any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of in connection with this promotion shall be resolved individually, without resort to any class action.
Participants assume any and all risks from participating in the contest and agree to release Sponsor, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. and each of their respective affiliates, employees, officers, and owners from any liability from injury or damages resulting from participation in the contest. This promotion shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, regardless of conflicts of laws principals. Any action or litigation concerning this promotion shall take place exclusively in the federal or state courts sitting in Cook County, Illinois, and each participant expressly consents to the jurisdiction of and venue of such courts and waives all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. Each participant agrees to service of process by mail or other method acceptable under the laws of the State of Illinois. Any claims, judgments and/or awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs associated with entering this promotion. Participants hereby waive any rights or claims to attorney fees, indirect, special, punitive, incidental or consequential damages of participant, whether foreseeable or not and whether based on negligence on the part of Sponsor, human error or otherwise.
